Meet Our Teams

Leonard is the Lead Consultant for Indonesia Coordination at the Climate and Land Use Alliance. He brings more than three decades of experience in environmental advocacy, human rights, governance, international development, and humanitarian response in Indonesia.

Before joining CLUA, Leonard served as Country Director for Greenpeace Indonesia. His earlier roles included senior positions with Oxfam Australia, Transparency International Indonesia, NZAID, UNDP Indonesia, AusAID, and a low-carbon development program in Papua. Across these organizations, he worked on environmental protection, decentralization, public-sector reform, community development, Indigenous Peoples’ rights, disaster response, and peacebuilding.

Leonard holds a bachelor’s degree in petroleum engineering from the Bandung Institute of Technology and a master’s degree in governance and development from the Institute of Development Studies at the University of Sussex, where he studied as a Chevening Scholar.
