Meet Our Teams

Wallace D’Souza is the Chief Financial and Administrative Officer at Vital Strategies, a global health organization working with governments to strengthen public health systems and design scalable solutions to address leading causes of death. In this role, Wallace provides strategic financial and operational leadership, overseeing the organization’s Finance, Technology, Human Resources, and Global Operations functions in support of its mission. He is responsible for guiding organizational strategy and administration across six global legal entities and a workforce of more than 300 staff in over 60 countries.

Prior to joining Vital Strategies, Wallace served as Chief Financial Officer at Planned Parenthood Federation of America (PPFA) and the Planned Parenthood Action Fund, where he led financial strategy, budgeting, cost management, auditing, investment strategy, and systems implementation for both 501(c)(3) and 501(c)(4) entities, overseeing a combined budget exceeding $300 million. He worked closely with both organizations’ Boards and Finance Committees to ensure long-term financial sustainability and transparency.

From 2012 to 2016, Wallace was the Senior Director of Global Planning at the International AIDS Vaccine Initiative (IAVI), where he played a key role in scaling the organization from $5 million to over $100 million, supporting international expansion across Africa, India, and Europe by building strong infrastructure and business systems.

Earlier in his career, Wallace was Director of Budget and Financial Services at MDRC, a nonprofit social policy research organization focused on improving outcomes for low-income populations. He also served as CFO/Controller of MDRC’s Canadian subsidiary and as Global Corporate Controller at Compass Group LLC, an asset management and private equity firm.

Wallace currently serves on several boards, including as Treasurer of Women Deliver, and on the boards of Vital Strategies’ legal entities in Singapore, Brazil, and France.

He holds an MBA in Accounting and Finance from the University of Scranton, Pennsylvania.
