Meet Our Teams

Alam Surya Putra (Alam) has over twenty years of experience in governance and policies, economic reform and development, and civil society engagement. He has been working on environment and land use governance issues and promoting sustainable forest and land management for over fifteen years. He has managed projects promoting good governance in the environmental sector, freedom of information and transparency, policy reform, public finance management on land-based industries, as well as the rule of law and corruption investigation in the natural resources sector.

Alam holds a Bachelor degree in Social Science, Department of Anthropology from Airlangga University. Today, with CLUA, Alam manages programs to promote sustainable forest and land management practices in Indonesia through strengthening policy reforms, public financing, IPLCs engagement and CSO network development.
