About Our Alliance
The Climate and Land Use Alliance (CLUA) is a collaborative of foundations with a mission to amplify the power of people and the potential of forests for a just and climate-resilient world.
What We Support
For more than a decade, the Climate and Land Use Alliance’s funder collaborative members have aligned around a shared strategy for supporting the world’s tropical forests. In this critical time for humanity and for our planet’s climate, forests, and diversity of life, we are reaffirming our collective commitment.
From local to global scales, we support those working to change the social, economic, and political dynamics that drive tropical deforestation and undermine people’s rights and well-being. We support the power of civil society organizations to advance collective action for a just and climate-resilient world.
Through our Alliance, we align diverse expertise, resources, and networks to leverage our support to conserve and restore forests, and advance justice and climate resilience.
Our teams based in tropical forest regions and around the world support work at the global level and in Brazil, Indonesia, Colombia, Peru, Mexico, and Central America.
We coordinate with other funders to accelerate progress toward shared goals of raising more support and moving more resources to organizations working to halt and reverse tropical deforestation by hosting Forests, People, Climate, a collaborative of philanthropic donors, civil society, and community-based organizations.
