Felia Salim
Ms. Salim has spent more than 30 years in the finance and banking sector. Most recently, she served as Vice CEO of PT Bank Negara Indonesia, one of Indonesia’s largest state banks (2004-2015). During the Asian Crisis in the late nineties, she was the Deputy Chairperson of the Indonesian Bank Restructuring Agency and Head of the Secretariat for the Financial Sector Policy Committee. Her experience in the finance and banking sector additionally includes Citibank N.A. (1983-1991), Vice President of PT Jardine Fleming Nusantara (1991-1993), and Managing Director of The Jakarta Stock Exchange (1994-1999).
She participates actively in policy studies and reviews for various business sectors through advisory and board roles of Indonesian Services Dialogue, ISEI Jakarta, the Indonesian Economists Association Jakarta Chapter, and as Expert Council for Barra Risk Management. Her commitment to sustainability has also led to seats in advisory and governing boards of the Blue Abadi Fund, Bird’s Head Seascape, the AndGreen Fund, Liberia and Brazil, and Ecoregions International.
Ms. Salim was part of establishing organizations such as the Partnership for Governance Reform of Indonesia (Kemitraan), The Transparency International Indonesia Chapter, and the Tifa Foundation associated with the Open Society Foundation.
She has recently been appointed Chairperson of the Executive Board of Kemitraan (2016) and the Chairperson of Transparency International Indonesia (since 2017).
