Louisa joined CLUA in March 2023 as the Program Associate for the Mexico and Central America Initiative. Her prior experience is in project management, project monitoring, capacity development processes with communities, municipalities and conservation authorities of protected areas.

Prior to joining CLUA, she worked in the international development sector, where she supported the implementation of an international environmental governance project, gaining experience with the public conservation sector of Belize, northern Guatemala and southeast Mexico, and promoting collaboration between the three counties to preserve their common tropical forest landscape.

Louisa studied Biological Science at the University of Frankfurt and holds a M.Sc. in Natural Resource Management and Sustainable Development from the ITT in Cologne.
