Melissa is an Environmental Engineer with a Master degree in Science and Technology from Pierre et Marie Curie University/Sorbonne. With 10+ years of experience in the areas of environment, sustainability, innovation and international cooperation in Brazil, Latin America and Africa, Melissa is an expert in negotiation, design and supervision of sustainable and innovative projects. Prior to joining CLUA, Melissa was the grant portfolio Leader of the Innovation Lab of the Inter-American Development Bank Group (IDB Lab) in Brazil, being responsible for important projects in the field of CFM/bioeconomy, circular economy, climate-smart agriculture, knowledge economy, among others. Before that, she was an UNDP Project Analyst at the Brazilian Agency of Cooperation, being responsible for south-south sustainable development projects with African countries.
